Who we are

Bournemouth Pavilion Theatre and Ballroom is operated by BH Live, a registered charity and social enterprise. Driven by a mission to improve people’s lives, we are dedicated to providing inclusive cultural experiences and promoting physical activity for all.

For nearly a century, Bournemouth Pavilion has remained a vibrant event and cultural venue, attracting over 300,000 visits each year. Our year-round programme is diverse and we host some of the UK's finest West End touring musical productions, pantomimes, comedy, ballet, opera, classical and community theatre productions.

The Art Deco styled ballroom hosts regular events, exhibitions, recitals and tea dances, and the theatre still has one of the region’s few working Compton Organs.

We do not receive any external funding to run the venue. Thanks to your generosity and ongoing support by visiting, we can keep providing fantastic events, carry out preservation and maintenance work, and engage with those who might not otherwise be able to enjoy cultural events and activities to enable participation.
