News Story
Kick off 2026 with a visit to Bournemouth Pavilion for a vibrant season packed with music, culture, comedy, and show‑stopping performances.
Building on a hugely successful 2025 programme, charitable operator BH Live, continues to expand the cultural event offering at this much‑loved historic venue.
2026 begins in style with headline acts such as Sir David Jason, Rob Beckett, and Suzi Quatro. Iconic productions including Shen Yun, Blood Brothers, Barnum, and Mean Girls light up the early summer season, with MAMMA MIA! and Waitress too.
A thriving community hub too, there’s monthly tea dances and performances from local theatre groups, bringing in both young and older people to enjoy the stage and facilities.
The venue marks its centenary in 2029 and ahead of this, a recently appointed team of archive volunteers is helping to preserve Bournemouth Pavilion’s cultural and architectural history for future generations to enjoy. Bournemouth Pavilion is also home to a rare treasure: the Compton Organ. Once one of 550 instruments installed in churches, cinemas, theatres, and concert halls between 1926 and 1939, only a handful remain today. In partnership with the Pavilion Organ Fund, the venue hosts Compton Organ Shows throughout the year to support the instrument’s ongoing restoration and preservation.
With its rich heritage and architectural charm, Bournemouth Pavilion continues to be a cultural cornerstone. Its thriving events programme not only enriches the region’s arts scene but also boosts the local economy and employment in the arts.
Here are some event highlights between January-June 2026 with more being announced soon (information correct at the time of writing).

Steve Turner, BH Live’s Associate Director of Venues said;
“There is so much to enjoy at Bournemouth Pavilion. We are delighted to unveil the venue’s lineup, building on the success of last year’s programme. This year’s schedule also features an exciting run of weeklong musicals, bringing large‑scale productions to local audiences and strengthening the Pavilion’s role as a home for world‑class theatre.
“The impact of these cultural experiences extends far beyond the venue itself, enriching the communities we serve and helping to make the BCP region an even more vibrant place to live, work, learn, and play. We hope this year’s programme will inspire even more people to engage with and enrich their lives through a diverse range of cultural events.”
