Jimmy Mcghie

Jimmy Mcghie ran off to join the stand-up comedy circus professionally in 2009. Since then he has performed stand-up all over the world and has appeared on numerous television and radio programmes for BBC, Channel 4, Channel 5, Comedy Central, ABC Australia, THREE New Zealand, Absolute Radio and more.

Jimmy performs on the UK and international comedy circuit to great acclaim, as well as a highly sought after corporate awards host and TV warm up artist, providing studio warm up for Graham Norton Show (BBC1), Loose Women (ITV)and Deal or No Deal (Channel 4).He also co-presented the Dave Gorman radio show on Absolute Radio and appeared on Russell Howard’s Good News (BBC Three).

He is “a brilliant talent” (The Scotsman) and with “an easy charm and appealing relaxed manner” (Chortle), he has performed 10 solo shows at festivals around the world including the Edinburgh Fringe, Melbourne International Comedy Festival, Adelaide Fringe, Sydney Comedy Festival, Perth Comedy Festival and New Zealand International Comedy Festival.

Tony Burgess

Next on the line-up is Tony Burgess who you might recognise from his role in the cult BBC3 comedy Ideal where he played DJ Troy, Moz’s crazy, vinyl obsessed brother.

Tony has also won the prestigious City Life Comedian of the Year, was runner-up in So You Think You’re Funny, and was nominated for best stand up and writer at the North West Comedy Awards.

He was also a founder member of the topical MEN at work team at the Comedy Store in Manchester, regular compere of the long established Frog and Bucket Comedy Club and has supported household names like Johnny Vegas on national tours.

Tony is also a successful writer with his plays, Fire Salad and Doorway, premiering at The Royal Exchange Studio Theatre in Manchester; he is also the creator of the BBC1 sitcom The Visit, and has written for big name comedians such asSteve Coogan (Paul and Pauline Calf’s Cheese and Ham Sandwich), Johnny Vegas (Nightclass and Who’s Ready For Ice Cream) Lily Savage and John Bishop (John Bishop’s Britain).

Hasan Al Habib

Hasan Al-Habib started stand-up at Uni and is already regarded as one of the circuit’s most exciting new comedians.

In 2019, Hasan took his stand up show FootDarks (the Cambridge Footlights whose names you can’t pronounce) to the Edinburgh Fringe. It was critically acclaimed, with The Guardian newspaper calling it “deliciously funny”.

He has since performed at sold out club nights around the country, including at Oxford and Birmingham Glee, and has opened for various comedians, including Ken Cheng, Fern Brady, Ahir Shah, Adam Hess and Sara Barron.

Damion Larkin

Damion Larkin will often improvise his entire set to hilarious effect. There are no genuine comparisons to this man. He is a versatile and creative comedian who always leaves audiences wanting more.
