We are thrilled to announce a stellar line-up for LOL Comedy Club on Friday 13 March! Featuring some of the UK’s most talented and engaging comedians. Prepare yourself for an evening of laughter, wit, and storytelling from four standout performers.

James Dowdeswell is an imaginative storytelling TV comedian who combines deft stand-up with daft stories and has featured on BBC’s Russell Howard’s Good News as well as Ricky Gervais’ Extras, The World Stands Up, Edinburgh And Beyond on the Paramount Comedy Channel. He also presented the World Cup Round Up for Sky Sports. Russell Howard also cited him as an early influence, inspiration and a trusted friend and colleague. This is little surprise as James is one of the most genuinely nice comedians in the country and a friend to many.

He headlines comedy clubs around the UK and is also highly sought after as an MC. His comedy is erudite, off the cuff and clean. He has worked all over the world, from Shanghai to Slovakia, Malta to Melbourne. He turned professional after winning the Jongleurs New Act Of The Year Award in 2000.

James is also the leading comedian in the world on the subjects of beer, wine and pubs. He has a solo stand-up show on beer and wine and can also combine it with a wine and beertasting. He has performed variations of this show for such clients as Pol Roger Champagne, Arrowhead Entertainment, Thresher Wine Group Annual Conference, Ram Brewery and Vinopolis Wine.

Add to all this, he’s also the author of The Pub Manifesto: A Comedian Stands Up For Pubs. This was published by CAMRA Books in November 2018. It was nominated for The Guild Of British Beer Writers Award for The Long Live The Local Award for Best Book On Pubs 2019. It was name-checked as one of the best Christmas books by a comedian in The London Evening Standard.

Danny Deegan has been delighting audiences since 2003 with tales of mischief and memorable characters inspired by his travels. A regular at major comedy clubs across the UK, Danny has proven himself as a headliner and MC capable of winning over even the toughest crowds.

Highlights include headlining the Green Man Festival comedy tent to an ecstatic 400-strong audience and wrapping up for Manchester band The Doves in front of 12,000 fans. Danny has also supported Chris Ramsey, Mick Foley, Dave Spikey, and Paul Sinha, and performed internationally in Switzerland.

From the Scottish countryside to lighter, thought-provoking topics, Duncan Adam has been making waves on the comedy circuit with his dry wit and compelling anecdotes. His routines are consistently entertaining, and he is in high demand for any comedy night. Expect top-quality gags, fresh perspectives, and plenty of laughs.

Will Duggan has been performing since 2009, establishing himself as a dynamic MC and stand-up performer. His mix of stories, gags, and cheerfully cynical worldview has won over comedy clubs across the country.

He has supported acts like Justin Moorhouse, Hal Cruttenden, and Gary Delaney and performed at the Edinburgh Festival in sold-out shows such as The Lunchtime Special and Funz & Gamez. Will is also part of the writing team for the Fosters Award-winning show Funz & Gamez and has been seen on The Russell Howard Hour (Sky One), Radio 4, and CBBC.

An Edinburgh Comedy Award winner, Will brings energy, humour, and warmth to every stage.

All line-ups are subject to change, but rest assured, any replacements will be just as funny!
