News Story
Bournemouth Pavilion recently hosted an uplifting evening of music and community spirit; Bournemouth and Boscombe Light Opera Company’s (BBLOC) fundraising event in support of local causes.
The event delivered an unforgettable night of musical blockbusters, bringing together audiences, performers, and supporters for a vibrant celebration of live entertainment while raising vital funds for both BBLOC and Macmillan Caring Locally.
Guests enjoyed a lively programme of much-loved songs from the world of musical theatre, performed by the company’s talented members.
Half of all ticket proceeds will be donated directly to Macmillan Caring Locally, an organisation dedicated to providing essential palliative and end-of-life care services within the community. In addition, 50% of any extra donations made to BBLOC at the time of booking will also be shared with the charity, further amplifying the impact of audience support.
BBLOC has long been a cornerstone of the local arts scene, committed to delivering high-quality, accessible performances for the community at Bournemouth Pavilion and beyond. Their productions continue to complement the venue’s diverse line-up of music, musicals, comedy, community events, and more.
The fundraising evening reflected the organisation’s ongoing mission to keep theatre accessible to all while giving back to community causes that make a tangible difference in people’s lives, a mission also supported by BH Live, the registered charity and social enterprise that operates Bournemouth Pavilion.
The evening proved to be a memorable occasion at one of Bournemouth’s most iconic venues, with audiences not only enjoying outstanding entertainment but also contributing to a shared vision of compassion and community support.
Looking ahead, audiences and supporters of BBLOC can look forward to the company’s upcoming production of 9 to 5 The Musical (Wednesday 14-Saturday 17 October 2026) at Bournemouth Pavilion, continuing the company’s tradition of bringing acclaimed and entertaining stage productions to local audiences.
