Bournemouth Pavilion is set to shimmer with seasonal sparkle as its spectacular Christmas pantomime, Cinderella, brings a burst of festive magic to the stage during the most enchanting week of the year.

With Christmas just days away, families across Dorset are being invited to step out of the winter chill and into a world of glittering gowns, fairy-tale romance, and laugh-out-loud comedy. This year’s production of Cinderella promises all the traditional pantomime joy audiences adore, from outrageous dames and dazzling dance numbers to plenty of “oh no it isn’t!” fun.

Bournemouth Pavilion’s historic auditorium has been transformed into a festive fairy‑tale setting, complete with twinkling lights, lavish sets, and a sprinkle of theatrical magic courtesy of the Fairy Godmother herself. With a talented cast, show-stopping musical numbers, and a few surprises along the way, Cinderella is set to be the perfect Christmas treat for audiences of all ages.

Performances run throughout Christmas week, offering families the ideal opportunity to make memories together, whether as a Christmas celebration, a Boxing Day tradition, or a joyful escape from the holiday hustle.

Written by acclaimed pantomime master Jon Monie and produced by UK Productions, this year’s Cinderella brings the classic rags‑to‑riches tale to life with humour, heart, and spectacular staging.

The cast continues to receive special praise from school and group leaders, with Melanie Walters (Gavin & Stacey, BBC) enchanting audiences as the Fairy Godmother, Olivia Birchenough (Channel 5’s Milkshake!) shining as Cinderella, and Noel Brodie’s lovable ‘Buttons’ proving a firm favourite with younger audiences. Comedy duo Jamie Morris and Tarot Joseph – The Fabulous Sisters – have also been applauded for their quick wit and scene-stealing antics.

From the transformation scene to the final bow, Cinderella continues to deliver a magical, memorable experience for all.

With word spreading - and fewer than 30 performances remaining - demand for tickets is rising. Group rates are available for parties of 10+, 20+, and 30+, with concessions also available for under‑16s on selected performances. Great value and perfect for a family and friends outing

Schools and groups can also now book for next year’s pantomime, Aladdin, with dedicated school performances and group rates available. A limited number of funded tickets for pupils on low income are also available. Early enquiries are encouraged to secure preferred dates.
