This year, Hawthorne’s touring show will feature the iconic 1923 silent epic The Hunchback of Notre Dame, accompanied by the majestic tones of the historic Compton pipe organ which lives in the Bournemouth Pavilion Theatre.

The Grandeur of Notre Dame Meets the Majesty of the Bournemouth Compton
As the silver screen flickers to life, audiences will be transported back in time to the era of silent cinema, where storytelling was an art form that transcended spoken words. The Hunchback of Notre Dame, a cinematic masterpiece from 1923, directed by Wallace Worsley and starring the legendary Lon Chaney, takes on new life under the skilful hands of Aaron Hawthorne and the resounding pipes of the Compton organ.
"The marriage of 'The Hunchback of Notre Dame' and the Compton pipe organ at Bournemouth Pavilion will be an audio-visual feast, taking the audience on an unforgettable journey through the realms of emotion and imagination. I cannot wait to get my hands on that great organ!”
