This week, the Bournemouth Pavilion transformed into a world of pure imagination as the Bournemouth and Boscombe Light Orchestra took to the stage with their vibrant and whimsical production of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
Inspired by Roald Dahl’s beloved children’s classic, this local adaptation captures the enchantment of the hit West End and Broadway versions while adding their own unique flair. Audiences were swept away by a delightful blend of nostalgia and novelty, featuring cherished songs from the original 1970s film, like “The Candy Man” and “Pure Imagination” - alongside exciting new numbers from the award-winning songwriting duo behind Hairspray.
We were delighted to welcome local press to an evening overflowing with chocolatey treats, themed cakes, and sweet refreshments—and the rave reviews say it all!
